Who we are

Highlander was established in 2016 and is located in Troon, Ayrshire. The areas we work cover the greater region of Ayrshire, West Scotland and further afield.

We believe in building relationships with our clients through excellent service and communication and as such we have become known for our quality workmanship, friendly, personal approach and quick response times.

Our team consists of highly experienced security systems engineers who have years of hands-on experience in the security and fire protection sector.

We are proud to be SSAIB (Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board) approved installers, which means our customers know our work is compliant with specific industry standards and that we only use the best technology to help secure their premises.

I had a system installed by Highlander at my home in Irvine. When I first contacted them I found them to be extremely helpful. They gave me a time for their engineer to visit. They arrived on time, checked what was required and explained what I needed. Following their visit a quotation was received, which I accepted as the other company who quoted did not offer the same service as Highlander. (Plus, the other company were more expensive.) I was most impressed by the way they cleaned up in all the areas where they were fitting the equipment. I personally would rate them ten out of ten for delivery, quality and workmanship.

I called Highlander when my home alarm developed a fault. They responded quickly, finding and fixing the fault whilst respecting PPE and social distancing requirements in force at the time. Based on this visit I asked them to install a security system at my workshop. I was quite specific where I wanted the equipment and they were happy to alter the design to my requirements, even working late to complete a very tidy job and all at a competitive rate. Great to have a local company doing good work at sensible rates.
